The 8th Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Conference MCEC 2018 in Nanjing

Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd joined the delegation of Selangor State Government to participate in the 8th Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Conference (MCEC 2018) on 19 September 2018.  The event was once again be held outside Malaysia. The host city is named as ‘The Great Ancient Capital of Six Dynasties’ – Nanjing in Jiangsu province, China. The delegation was led by Selangor State Exco, YB Dato Teng Chang Khim.

MCEC 2018 was officiated by YB Dr. Ong Kian Ming, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia. After the opening ceremony, YB Dato Teng Chang Khim delivered his keynote speech on Malaysia-China business opportunities under Belt & Road Initiative.

As the master developer of Selangor Bio Bay, Central Spectrum took this opportunity to create awareness and explore collaboration opportunities with bio based industry players in China.

In order to promote Malaysia-China bilateral trade, the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) seized the opportunity to organise the first Malaysia-China Entrepreneur Conference in 2011. Since then, MCCC has organised this conference annually. MCEC 2014 and MCEC 2016 was held beyond border in Xiamen and Chengdu, China respectively. Unlike the previous editions where each of them gathered over a thousand participants, the 2018 edition emphasises quality among participants, limiting the number of participants to 400.

The MCEC 2018 is a calendar event held in collaboration with Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, with the endorsement from Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Finance Malaysia (MOF), Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), Malaysian Consulate General in Shanghai and the Secretariat for the Advancement of Malaysian Entrepreneurs (SAME) under the Prime Minister’s Department Malaysia, also with full support from the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing Municipal People’s Government and Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Jiangsu Province.
