
Central Spectrum and Air Selangor Sign Memorandum of Cooperation to Develop Alternative Water Supply for the Development in Pulau Indah
1 July 2025, Hulu Langat – Central Spectrum (M) Sdn. Bhd. (Central Spectrum) and Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn. Bhd. (Air Selangor) have formalized a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to collaborate on the planning and implementation of alternative water supply solutions for Central Spectrum’s development in Pulau Indah.
Under this agreement, both parties will establish a Joint Steering Committee to oversee the strategic direction, feasibility studies of the Water Reclamation Plant, Seawater Desalination Plan, In-situ Desalination Plant or any other alternative water supply services. Central Spectrum will provide full financial support for the project, covering the studies, design, and construction of the Plant, while Air Selangor will contribute technical expertise and obtain the necessary approvals from respective authorities to ensure sustainable and efficient water supply solutions.
The collaboration aims to develop an alternative water supply and support the long-term development of Pulau Indah, ensuring reliable and high-quality water services for businesses and industries within the area.

This MoC reflects our way forward – to continuously enhance the nation’s water systems capabilities, uphold sustainability, as well as provide the best and resilient services to our 9.62 million consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.”
The MoC underscores both parties’ commitment to infrastructure development and sustainable resource management, reinforcing Selangor’s position as a leading investment hub.
