Sustainable Development; Mangrove Planting at Pulau Indah Industrial Park 3A

An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the non-living components of their environment, interacting as a system. It’s an integral part between humanity and nature that creates a sustainable ecosystem.

Understanding the importance of nature preservation, Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd (CSSB) together with a few partners had initiated a mangrove planting program at the rivershore of Sg. Chandong Besar, Pulau Indah Industrial Park, Phase 3A (PIIP 3A) area on 23rd July 2017. An estimated 500 people had participated in this program. They were staffs from Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd, Westports Malaysia, Infinity Logistics & Transport Sdn Bhd and volunteers from freight forwarding companies in Klang Valley and NGOs from JARING.

The objective of this activity was to create awareness amongst the local community and public on the important role of mangrove trees towards the sustainable ecosystem in the rivershore and seashore area specifically in and surrounding Pulau Indah.

The program started at 8.00am with participant registration and the event was officiated by YBhg. Tan Sri Kong Cho Ha, Chairman of Port Klang Authority. A total of 4,000 new mangrove trees were successfully planted during the program which ended at 12.30pm.
